There’s something incredibly special about watching a couple’s journey unfold—especially when you’ve captured their wedding and now get to document the next chapter. I had the absolute joy of photographing the Botes family again, this time for a laid-back, joy-filled maternity shoot in Langebaan.
Our session began with a fun adventure on a yacht—sunlight on the water, wind in our hair, and lots of laughs. Afterwards, we headed to their beautiful new family home, still fresh with the scent of new beginnings. The calm setting and soft light made for the perfect backdrop to document this season of waiting and excitement.
From intimate portraits to playful candid moments (and yes, plenty of tail wags from their dogs!), the entire shoot felt relaxed and real. That’s always my goal—capturing honest, unstaged moments that reflect your story as it is right now.
I’ve worked with so many families over the years, but it never gets old seeing how love evolves—how homes grow, and how dogs stay the same goofy sidekicks through it all.
Langebaan provided the perfect setting for this maternity shoot, and being invited into the Botes’ space again felt like reconnecting with old friends. It’s sessions like these that remind me why I do what I do.
If you’re expecting and want to capture this incredible chapter of your life, I’d love to be part of your journey—whether it’s on a boat, in your home, or somewhere completely your own.
Let’s document your next chapter together.
