Engagement Shoot in Stellenbosch: Zàn Mari & Francois



On a moody Sunday winter morning in Stellenbosch, we met up for Zàn-Mari and Francois’ engagement shoot. It was one of those days where the skies threatened to keep us indoors, but just as we began, the clouds parted, the light softened, and we were gifted a perfect 30-minute pocket of magic.


Zàn-Mari (whom many of you might know as a familiar face in the online world) and Francois were an absolute joy to photograph. There’s something special about capturing two people so effortlessly connected, even when the pavement is still wet and the chill clings to your fingers. Their energy, their laughter, and the way they looked at each other made every frame feel warm despite the cold.


We wandered the quiet streets, embraced the winter palette, and made the most of the calm after the storm. I often say I love what I do, and sessions like this are a beautiful reminder why. It’s about the people, the real moments, and the quiet in-betweens that somehow say everything.
